We have officially been sponsored by Tailwind Nutrition. Tailwind will be supplying their drink mix for the race! One reason to sign up early so we have an idea of how much to request for the race. They supply their mix in packs that make 5 gallon jugs. So we need a fairly good idea how many thirsty runners we will need the drink for. Please leave comments and let us know what your favorite flavor is!

I spent the weekend running the course and taking pictures. At this point there are only two areas that are water crossings! Both of these areas you can get around without getting wet, at least at this point. If this rain keeps up we may be kayaking the 100 miles, LOL. I have taken the pictures and put them together into a short video of the course, its not professional but I think its pretty good for a researcher who is fairly artistically developmentally disabled! So that is about it for today. More updates to come soon.
Dr. Hammer This morning Laura and I meet Dylan Gavagni (St. Sebastian Park manager) at 7:00 a.m., rangers get started early! We discussed details of the race such as which trail we will be using, camping, fires, music, beer, Aid station locations, Arlo Guthrie and what possesses a human to want to run 100 miles. All is great with the race and the official paper work is in the works! Tomorrow I will be running the course at about 8 a.m. to see what condition it is in. Laura and I did the course on Saturday but from a different start point and our course ended up being closer to a 11 mile loop instead of 10 mile loop. So I am heading back out to make it exactly 10 miles or at least close enough for a trail race. Hey I once ran 5 miles off course (10 miles extra total) to get pizza, its a 100 miles - so what's a few extra!
